Safety Precautions
Before You Start
Before proceeding to Dazzle your pool, please take note of the following safety precautions. Always use as directed, read and follow the label, and keep pool chemicals out of sight and reach of children and pets.
Always Use Protective Equipment
It is highly recommended that you wear appropriate personal protective equipment (P.P.E.) when using or handling pool chemicals. A good pair of chemical resistant gloves along with eye protection are highly recommended.
Directions For Use
Step 1
Backwash / Clean Filter
Starting with a clean filter will ensure you get the best possible results.
If you have a sand filter, give it a backwash and rinse and set it back to filter mode. If you have a cartridge filter, remove and clean your filter.
Step 2
Lower pH to 7.2
Test the pH of your pool water, and add in the correct amount of pH decrease to reduce the pH to 7.2
Lowering your pH to 7.2 will ensure that Dazzle can turbo charge your pool water sanitising agents such as chlorine or ozone.
Step 3
Add Chlorine
You should shock dose your swimming pool with chlorine. The chlorine oxidises and kills unwanted nasties in your water.
Add the correct amount of liquid or powdered chlorine for a shock dose and spread evenly around the pool.
Step 4
Add Dazzle
Dissolve the correct amount of Dazzle for your pool into a bucket of water. Once dissolved, pour into the skimmer basket of your pool with the pump running.
Keep your pump and filtration equipment running to allow your filter to start cleaning your water.
Step 5
Vacuum Pool
After 24 to 36 hours, all of the unwanted particulates in your pool will have sunk to the bottom. You will need to vacuum up this layer of debris.
It is best to vacuum your pool to waste after using Dazzle to prevent debris returning to the pool.
Step 6
Test & Balance Water
Now your pool is clean, you should test and balance your water chemistry. Test your water to check your levels of total alkalinity, hardness and stabiliser.
Dazzle will stay in the water and continue working to boost the effectiveness of your pool sanitisers.
Tips & Tricks
Brush Your Swimming Pool
Brushing the walls and floor of your swimming pool will loosen any algae growth. Algae grows a protective coating, and brushing helps by breaking down this protective coating so your sanitiser can get to work.
Keep Cleaning Your Filter
The dirtier your pool water is when you treat it, the more debris your filter will have to remove. Keep an eye on your filter and give it an extra clean if it starts becoming clogged up again.
Leave Your Pump Running
Dazzle works as a powerful flocculant, clumping and dropping unwanted particles to the bottom. Unlike traditional FLOC, Dazzle is perfectly safe to run through your system and will not damage your filter.
